Laurel County Kentucky 4X4 Trails
|
Daniel Boone National Forest
Length: 2.3 miles
A section of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail, this
single track segment provides access to a variety of forest
types and landscapes. Dry hardwood ridgetops give way to moist
hemlock habitats in the Poison Honey and Pine Creek bottoms.
Steep climbing turns, narrow single track, and steep side slopes
provide challenges to riders and hikers.
The route begins at KY 1956 and ends at Forest Development Road
(FDR) 747.
Directions:
Take KY 80 west from London and go 6 miles, then turn right
(north) at Hawk Creek Road. Immediately turn left (west) on KY
1956 and go 2.8 miles. Parking on right. Trail leaves from south
side of road.
Please Note: The National Forest Service has implemented new
regulations which will only allow ATV (e.g., 3 & 4 wheelers) and
motorcycles on these trails. Please visit
