Length: 52 miles
The Redbird Crest Trail is a 52-mile loop trail that begins and
ends near the Redbird District Office. The trail generally
follows the ridge tops, with some portions being quite steep and
rough. Segments of the trail are suitable for licensed vehicles
only. Some areas are so narrow that only single track vehicles
can drive on them. Please contact the District Office for
specific information. The trail is marked with green-painted,
diamond-shaped blazes spaced no further than 1/10 of a mile.
Trail symbols are used at road intersections and as a reminder.
Orange diamonds are currently being added to mark the trail for
ATV use. Intersecting trails will be identified with signs.
The route begins at Redbird District Office and ends at Redbird
District Office.
Directions:
From the Big Creek exit of the Daniel Boone Parkway, travel east
on KY 66 0.7 miles to junction with US 421 and KY 80. Proceed
south on KY 66 0.8 miles to junction with US 421 and KY 80.
Continue south on KY 66 1.7 miles to Redbird Ranger Station on
the right.
