Located within
Clay and Cleburne Counties Alabama, the 2,799 acre Cheaha
State Park is surrounded by the Talladega National Forest and is
home to Alabama's highest point. operating since 1933, Cheaha
State Park offers a large variety of facilities and recreational
opportunities including a 75' high observation tower which was
constructed by the C.C.C., wedding chapel,
hiking trails, fishing, picnicking,
mountain biking, swimming (no lifeguards), 2
campgrounds, semi-primitive campground, group lodging,
pavilions, the Cheaha Country Store, banquet & meeting
facilities, hotel, cabins & chalets, and a restaurant.
Cheaha State Park is located 25 miles south of Anniston, 25
miles north of Talladega and 17 miles north of Lineville, at
19644 Highway 281 in Delta Alabama.
