Located within Crawford County Arkansas, Lake Fort Smith State Park is situated along the western side of 1,400 acre Lake Fort Smith. In addition to water based activities such as kayaking, swimming, and fishing, Lake Fork Smith State Park offers a variety of recreational opportunities including camping, backpacking, hiking, and mountain biking.

To reach Lake Fort Smith State Park from I-540 take exit 29 at Mountainburg Arkansas, then scenic highway 71 for 8 miles north to the park entrance road.
