Inyo County California

Located on the eastern side of the Sierra
Nevada's, south of Yosemite National Park, Inyo County is home to the
highest peak in the lower 48 states, Mount Whitney and the lowest point
in the United States, Death Valley National Park.
The snow-covered Sierra Nevada and White Mountains tower over the
Owens Valley where ancient lava flows and granite boulders are found.
Several trails are located within Inyo County which lead into the High
Sierra back country.
