Hanging Dog Recreation Area, Hanging Dog Campground offers 3 camping
loops with 51 family units. Each campsite features a table, fire grills,
parking spur and tent platform. Able to accommodate tents, backpackers,
or RV's up to 22' (some up to32'), Hanging Dog Campground also offers
wheelchair accessible facilities. Flush toilets and a sink are located
with the loops.
Hanging Dog Recreational Area may be reached by traveling along
Joe Brown Highway (NC 1326) from
Murphy North Carolina for 5 miles. Turn left at the Hanging Dog
Recreation Area Sign. |
