Although the Mountain Travel Guide does not list trails in Oregon yet, we still wanted to provide a list of some of the great clubs located there.

Mitch Waite, a well known author and publisher of books on computers, has developed a new search engine, Percevia (http://www.percevia.com) and a database for identifying North American birds in the field using a Pocket PC device. The most interesting feature of this engine is that it uses a parametric search so it always gives a result, unlike most search engines, which frequently come up with no answer.
Along with the PDA software, Mitch has created an extensive Birds of North America web site:

using the same technology. Each bird has extensive field guide information, including the actual audio bird call as well as associated web sites to visit for more details. The bird identification site is completely free and open to anyone to use and link to. There are extensive hand-painted illustrations of each bird as well as numerous details on them.
