Adirondack
Mountain Club
The Adirondack Mountain Club, founded in 1922, is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to protecting the New York state Forest Preserve and other wild lands and waters through conservation and advocacy, environmental education and responsible recreation.
Catskill
Mountain Club
The Catskill Mountain Club is an association of people who love to hike, camp, fish, hunt, canoe, kayak, bike, climb and otherwise enjoy nature and non-motorized outdoor recreational pursuits in the Catskill Mountains. The CMC is a grassroots association of outdoors-people that promotes safe, responsible outdoor recreation and seeks to enhance public awareness and appreciation of our natural and human recreational resources. Our interest is in the entire Catskill region, not just the Catskill Park - we encourage people to explore diverse areas of the Catskill Park and Forest Preserve, as well as other public lands in the greater Catskill region, such as our State Forests, Wildlife Management Areas, Special Use Areas, Unique Areas, and NY City Watershed Lands.

We promote and increase outdoor recreation opportunities for all ability levels, including people with disabilities and families with children, and serve as an educational resource for the people who use our precious public lands.
