Benton MacKaye Trail Association
The BMTA maintains a trail from Springer Mt., Ga to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as a low-use wilderness alternative to the Appalachian Trail.  We welcome hikers and maintainers to visit the website for further information.

Cumberland Trail Conference
The Cumberland Trail Conference is a non-profit organization with the mission of building and maintaining the Cumberland Trail State Park in East Tennessee along the eastern rim of the Cumberland Plateau. The trail will be 300+ miles when completed with the Cumberland Gap being the northern terminus and Signal Point near Chattanooga the southern.

The CTC needs volunteers to help build the trail. We have various programs through out the year to encourage volunteer participation. Our webpage has a list of these programs, plus maps and hiking information on the different sections that are completed. We encourage you to hike any section of the trail and to find out how you can be a part of the Cumberland Trail!
