Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland
Located within the Boulder Ranger District, Forest Lakes Trail from
it's lower end at the South Boulder Creek Trail, cuts across the front
of a steep ridge on an abandoned road for 0.5 miles to meet up with
Arapaho Creek. The creek crossings have bridges. At the
Arapaho Lakes Trail/Forest Lakes Trail intersection, Forest Lakes
Trail turns away from the creek to the northeast on a gentle grade &
continues on to the lower of the 2 lakes. Following the trail around the
lower lake to the northwest leads to the upper Forest Lake & finally
connects to the trailhead on Moffat Road.
