White River National Forest
Available for hiking and horseback
riding, the 3 mile Beaver Lake Trail begins at the base of the Centennial
Express chairlift and parallels Village Drive and then Elk Track Road for
the first 0.25 mile until the road ends. Travel uphill from here along an
old wagon trail to the intersection with Village to Village Trail and some
ski lifts. Holy Cross Wilderness boundary is reached at mile 3, while
Beaver Lake is another 0.3 miles. Beaver Lake Trail continues another 4
miles to Lower & Upper Turquoise Lakes.To reach Beaver
Lake Trail from Vail Colorado, travel west along I-70 to exit 167 for Avon.
Exit and travel south from the roundabout onto Avon Road. Continue south
under the Interstate, past U.S. 6 to the gate for Beaver Creek Village
parking structure.
