Henderson Park Trail #1972

Traveling through pine forest for most of it's length, the
5 mile Henderson Park Trail skirts the edge of Henderson Park. After
leaving Henderson Park, the trail provides access to Carter Creek, Coffe
Pot Park, Last Chance Creek Trail and Josephine Lake Trails.
To reach Henderson Park Trail from Carbondale Colorado,
travel east along Highway 82 to Basalt and turn left at the stoplight.
Continue along Fryingpan River Road for 27 miles. Take road #501 to the left and
continue past Elk Wallow
Campground. A short distance past the campground take the fork for about
0.5 mile to the trailhead on the left side.
