Traveling from West Brush Creek up to Powerline Road (FR
414), the 2.6 mile McKenzie Gulch Trail follows McKenzie Gulch along a
moderate climb through aspen, mountain maple and wild rose. There are a
number of switchbacks, at about 1.5 miles the trail forks, McKenzie Fork
which leads to McKenzie Spring. McKenzie Gulch Trail is available for hiking &
horseback
riding. To reach McKenzie Gulch Trail from Eagle Colorado,
travel south along Brush Creek Road for 10 miles and turn right onto West
Brush Creek Road (FR 400). Continue along FR 400 for 2.4 miles to the
trailhead sign on the right side of the road.
