14.5 mile Trappers Lake Trail is a well marked, easy to follow trail from
Indian Camp Pass to Trappers Lake. Rated Moderate Trappers Lake Trail
gains almost 1000' during the first 1.5 miles.
To reach
Trappers Lake Trail from Eagle Colorado, travel west along I-70 for 13
miles to the Dotsero exit and follow the signs for Sweetwater/Burns by
turning north onto Colorado River Road. Continue along Colorado River Road
for 1.75 miles and turn left onto Coffee Pot Road (FR 600). Travel 33.75
miles along FR 600, passing Deep Lake until reaching Indian Camp Pass and
the trailhead.
