Available for hiking & horseback riding, the
2.7 mile Yates Gulch Trail begins as an old jeep road before becoming more
steep and rocky. Leveling out near the top of the gulch, Yates Gulch Trail
ends at Yates Reservoir, where you can connect to West Hardscrabble Trail.
To reach Yates Gulch Trail from Eagle Colorado, travel west to the Gypsum
exit and turn left towards town. Turn right at the National Forest Access
sign, Valley Road. This road will turn into Gypsum Creek Road (FR412).
Continue 11.75 miles to the trailhead on the left side of the road.
