Available for Hiking, and Horseback Riding,
the 9.8 mile Island Lakes Trail travels east for 0.5 miles to the
Chinese Wall Trail #1803. The trail continues on to meet up with
W Mountain Trail #1817, Deer Lake Trail #1802, South Derby Trail #1857
and Lower Island Lake. Island Lakes Trail continue down to Derby Creek.
To reach Island Lakes Trail from Meeker Colorado, travel
east along CO 13 for a mile and turn east onto CR 8. Continue along CR 8
for 39 miles and turn south onto Trappers Lake Road (FR 205).
