White River National Forest
Available for hiking & horseback riding, the 5.8 mile
Spring Creek Trail is steep and provides access up the main section of
Spring Creek. Views of canyon walls & cascading waterfalls are
available along the trail. To reach Spring Creek Trail from
New Castle Colorado, turn right onto CR 245 (7th Street) and continue 2
miles to East Elk Road and turn right. Follow East Elk Road to East Elk
Trailhead. Travel 3.2 miles along East Elk Trail. At Spring Creek bear
right beyond the stream to the trailhead. |
