Routt National Forest
Available for hiking, biking, and
horseback riding, the 5.8 mile Haystack Creek Trail lies within the
Troublesome Area. The steepest part of Haystack Creek Trail is at it's
beginning. Following a number of switchbacks as it drops in elevation,
Haystack Creek Trail passes across a talus slope until the valley widens
in the meadow. Haystack Creek Trail climbs above the creek where it passes
2 smaller creeks, before ending 2 miles up the Middle Fork Trail from
Troublesome Creek Trail. |
