Routt National Forest
Available for hiking, biking, and
horseback riding, the 7.9 mile Wheatley Creek Trail provides access to
the lower Troublesome Area and offers abundant campsites. Wheatley
Creek Trail travels north to a saddle, then west along a ridge before
dropping down to connect with Wheatley Creek.
To reach Troublesome Cutoff Trail from Kremming Colorado,
travel east along Highway 40 for about 10 miles and turn north onto CR 21
(FR 112). Continue along CR 21to FR 12 and turn left. Travel 2 miles along
FR 12 and turn left onto FR 121. Follow FR 121 to it's end.
