|
Routt National Forest
Available for ATV's (limited), motorcycles,
hiking, biking and horseback riding, the 15 mile Grizzly
Helena Trail (Lone Pine Trailhead to Helena Trailhead) serves as a primary
access trail to the east side of the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness, north of Lone
Pine Creek. This section of Grizzly Helena Trail also provides access to
Bear Creek-Ute Pass, Twin Lakes, Blue Lake and Fryingpan Basin. |

The Helena

Trailhead, ATV's must travel up FR 650 to access the ATV section of the
trail which starts at Brown's Creek and travels north. Water
is available at the many creek crossings and dispersed campsites
are readily found. Horse forage areas are scattered by adequate.
