Available for hiking, biking, and horseback
riding, the 10.1 mile Arapaho Ridge Trail is the only maintained trail
in the Hyannis Peak-Sheep Mountain area.
From the trailhead, Arapaho Ridge Trail climbs gently
through lodgepole pine, then descends to the Middle Fork of Arapaho Creek.
Following the creek for 5 miles with sever stream crossings. Steep
switchbacks lead to the top of Arapaho Ridge and the Continental Divide. |

Two access points are available
for Arapaho Ridge Trail:
- Travel along CR 11 south of Hebron, east from Highway 14 and south
to the forest boundary. Continue south along FR 700 past Bundy Park to
the trailhead.
- FR 721 is reached by traveling along Willow Creek Road #106 off
Highway 125, about 4 miles south of Rand Colorado. Turn right onto FR
715 then left onto FR 721. Follow the signs to Grassy Run Trailhead.
