Routt National Forest
Available for hiking and horseback riding,
the 4 mile Bear Creek Trail begins off Grizzly-Helena Trail and intersects
Ute Pass Trail to form a loop around Bear Mountain.
To access Bear Creek Trail, travel along CR 12W from
Highway 124-14 near Walden and continue until pavement ends. Turn left
onto CR 16 and pass through Lone Pine Ranch to the forest boundary.
Continue west along FR 640 to the Lone Pine Trailhead on the north side of
the road. Follow Grizzly-Helena Trail #1126 to Bear Creek Trail. |
