Never Summer Trail #1141 (Silver Creek Trailhead to Seven Utes Mtn.), Jackson County Colorado Hiking Trails

Available for hiking and horseback riding, this 1.25 mile section of Never Summer Trail (Silver Creek Trailhead to Seven Utes Mtn.) climbs rapidly to the timberline and is difficult to find at the trailhead. Scenic views of the Silver Creek drainage and the Never Summer Range are available all along the trail.

Few dispersed campsites are available along this section of the trail and horse forage is limited.

To reach this section of Never Summer Trail, take CR 21 (FR 740) off Highway 14 at Gould Colorado. Continue about 5 miles to FR 780. The first couple miles of road are suitable for passenger cars, but the last part of the road is a very rough 4WD only.
