Routt National Forest
Available for hiking, and horseback riding,
the 3.7 mile Ute Pass Trail originates off Grizzly-Helena Trail and
intersects with Bear Creek trail at Ute Pass and the Continental Divide.
Offering limited views below the timberline, Ute Pass Trail crosses Ute
Creek twice.
To reach Ute Pass Trail travel along CR 12W from Highway
125-14 near Walden Colorado. Continuing until the pavement ends, turn left
onto CR 16 and travel through Lone Pine Ranch to the forest boundary.
Travel west along FR 640 to the Lone Pine Trailhead, and follow north to
Ute Pass Trail.
