West Fork Encampment Trail #1153, Jackson County Colorado Hiking Trails

Available for hiking, and horseback riding, the 8.1 mile West Fork Encampment Trail maintains a slight grade until 1 mile before West Fork Lake, then gets rather steep. Campsites and water and horse forage are readily available along the length of this trail.

To reach West Fork Encampment Trail from Cowdrey Colorado, travel west past Pearl and turn left onto CR 6B (FR 80), toward Hog Park Reservoir. continue west to Commissary Park.

Cross the Encampment River bridge and continue pat the road to the Hog Park Guardstation. Turn left onto FR 82 and travel up the road to the next left (FR 82.1A) which travels to the trailhead.
