Stretching 0.6 miles along a bench (a level area) above South Clear
Creek, the 15 site Bristol Head Campground offers a view of towering
mountains. Bristol Head Campground offers an excellent area for viewing
wildlife, especially moose.
To reach Bristol Head Campground from Creede Colorado travel south
along CO 149 (toward Lake City) for 21.6 miles to North Clear Creek Road
sign (FR 510) and turn right. Continue along FR 510 (gravel) for 0.3
mils to the campground sign and turn right into the campground.
