riding, the 3.6 mile Sawmill Creek Trail travels north-northwest along
Sawmill Creek and offers one of the best views of Bears Ears Peak in the
district.
Sawmill Creek Trail offers 2 access points:

From Craig Colorado, travel 47 miles west along
Highway 40 and turn north onto Highway 13. Continue along Highway 13
for 8 miles to CR 18. Turn east onto CR 18 and travel 8 miles to CR
76. Travel along CR 76 for 3 miles and turn left onto FR 123. Follow
along the 4WD FR 123 for 3 miles to the trailhead.

From Hayden Colorado, travel west along Highway 40 for
25 miles and turn north onto CR 76. Travel north along CR 76 for 14
miles and turn left onto FR 123 (4WD). Travel 3 miles along FR 123 to
the trailhead.
