Rio Grande National Forest
Meandering up a mountainside above Big Meadows Reservoir in a series of
loops, the 53 site Big Meadows Campground offers vault toilets, and 7
water hand pumps. No electric hookups are available.
To reach Big Meadows Campground from South Fork Colorado at the
intersection of CO 149 and US 160, travel west along US 160 for 11.6
miles to Big Meadows Reservoir sigh. Turn right at the sign and continue
1.4 miles to the "y" intersection (FR 410). Bear left onto FR 410 and
continue 0.4 miles into the campground.
