Pine River Drainage
Located within the Columbine Ranger & Pegosa Ranger
District of
San Juan National Forest, the 11.2 mile Piedra River Trail is rated
easy to strenuous and receives heavy use in some areas.
Piedra River Trail offers access to a variety of
recreational opportunities including whitewater rafting, fishing,
photography & wildlife viewing.
Both trailheads are relatively busy, however the inner
stretches may offer solitude.
Snowshoeing & winter hiking may be possible along the
Piedra River Trail.
