White River National Forest
Available for OHV, Hiking, and Mountain
Biking, the 4.47 mile Georgia Pass Road passes the town site of
Parkville soon after the start. Parkville was a mining camp during the
1860's gold rush. Several intersecting roads are located along Georgia
Pass Road between Parkville and the summit, most of which are dead-ends.
Offering spectacular views of Mt. Guyot to the west, the summit is an
open, grassy saddle. Georgia Pass Road continues over Georgia Pass along a
gravel road into Park County and down
to Michigan Creek Campground, which is located in the South Park Ranger
District of Pike
National Forest. |
