White River National Forest
Located within Maroon Bells/Snowmass Wilderness the 7 mile
Carbonate Creek Trail travels through private property for the first 1.5
miles to the stream crossing. Following the stream crossing the trail is
steep for the next 0.5 miles, then moderate until just before the pass. At
the crossing the trail makes a sharp turn to the right and goes uphill
before a 2nd, smaller stream. After the pass Carbonate Creek Trail is a
steep descent to Arkansas Mountain
Trail #1965, which joins back into Carbonate about a mile after the
trailhead. |
