Fryingpan Lakes Trail #1921

White River National Forest

Beginning at Nast (Horseshoe Bend), Fryingpan Lakes Trail is fairly easy climb and parallels the Fryingpan River for 9 miles before reaching the lakes. The trail may be shortened by taking road #505 and hike the remaining 4 miles.

To reach Fryingpan Lakes Trail from Carbondale Colorado, travel east along Highway 82 to Basalt. Turn left at the stoplight and travel 32 miles along the Fryingpan River.

When the pavement ends, turn right onto road #505, past Horseshoe Bent Guest Ranch and continue until 505 dead-ends. The trailhead is located above the water division structure.
