Linkins Lake Trail #1979

White River National Forest

Traveling to a high alpine lake above the timberline, the moderately steep, 0.6 mile Linkins Lake Trail begins to the left (west) of Roaring Fork River from the parking area. This is also the trailhead for Lost Man Trail which to the right in about 200 yards. Taking the left fork (Linkins Lake Trail) the trail ascends steeply to a glacial cirque containing the lake and offers great views of the Continental Divide.

To reach Linkins Lake Trail from Aspen Colorado, travel east along Highway 82 for 18.5 miles to the last switchback before Independence Pass. The trailhead is on the north (left) side of the Highway.
