White River National Forest
Available to both hikers and bikers, the 9
mile Rocky Fork Trail is fairly steep for the first 0.5 mile, then levels
off until it connects with Road #528. To reach Rocky Fork
Trail from Carbondale Colorado, travel east along Highway 82 to Basalt and
turn left at the stoplight onto Fryingpan River Road. Continue along
Fryingpan River Road for 13 miles. Turn right at the anglers access road
below the Ruedi Dam, cross the river and continue to the left until it
dead ends at the trailhead. |
