White River National Forest
Available for Hiking, and Horseback Riding,
the 6.5 mile Fowler Creek Trail climbs rapidly through scrub oak and
crosses into the Flat Tops Wilderness after 2.5 miles. The trail
continues another 4 miles to
Oyster Lake Trail #1825.
To reach Fowler Creek Trail from Meeker Colorado, travel east along CO
13 for a mile and turn east onto CR 8. Continue along CR 8 for 18 miles
and turn south onto CR 10. Travel 2 miles along CR 10, jog north for
0.25 mile, then east for 9 miles and turn north onto FR 236. Travel 1
mile along FR 236 to the Hill Creek Camping area. The trailhead is at
the northeast corner of the loop.
