White River National Forest
Available for Hiking, and Horseback Riding,
the 4.3 mile Hill Creek Trail begins on the east side of the campground
following Hill Creek for 0.5 miles before fording the creek to the north
side. After passing through a scrub oak covered hillside for 0.25 mile,
the trail follows a bench above Hill Creek through aspen groves and
grassy parks. Hill Creek Trail has several steep, rocky stretches that
may be difficult for horses or hikers. Flat Tops Wilderness is entered
3.5 miles for the trailhead before reaching
Oyster Lake Trail #1825 0.5 mile later.
