Available for hiking, biking and horseback
riding, the 3 mile Bunker Basin Trail travels across a large meadow
with post markers for 0.5 mile to a saddle. Traveling fairly level, Bunker
Basin Trail enters a hardwood forest of aspen know as Bunker basin at 1.4
miles. Beginning to drop, the trail crosses a tributary of Bunker Creek at
1.9 miles. Bunker Basin Trail continues own to the southwest shore of
Haley Reservoir. |

To reach Bunker Basin Trail from Yampa Colorado, travel 5 miles north
along CR 17 to CR 132. Continue 3.6 miles west along CR 132 to Forest
Highway 16. Travel 6 miles west along 16 to Sheriff Reservoir Road 959.
Follow 959 to the trailhead at Sheriff Reservoir (about 2.6 miles).
