Cyclone Trail #1112, Routt County Colorado Hiking Trails

Available for hiking and horseback riding, the 9 mile Cyclone Trail travels 1.1 miles to reach Rough Creek and continues in a northwesterly direction, slowly gaining in elevation for the next 1.8 miles. Cyclone Trail then descends 240' to it's crossing of Cyclone Creek.

To reach Cyclone Trail from Yampa Colorado, travel 5 miles north along CR 17 to CR 132. Follow CR 132 west for 3.4 miles to Forest Highway 16. Continue 20.8 miles along 16 to FR 969. Travel 0.6 mile along FR 969 to the trailhead and parking.
