Available for hiking, biking, and horseback
riding, the 6.1 mile Hinman Creek Trail fords Hinman Creek which may
be deep, swift and strong. At the crossing turn right and continue to the
next trail junction. Hinman Lake will be on the left. Continue toward the
right on the trail, staying right at the next trail junction. The trail
continues and crosses Hinman Creek first, then Scott Run up to Diamond
Park. Hinman Creek Trail is also known at Scott Run Trail. |

Hinman Creek Trail offers 2 access points:

Take Highway 40 west of Steamboat Springs Colorado for
about 2 miles and turn right onto CR 129. Travel north about 18 miles to
Seedhouse Road (FR 400/CR 64) and turn right. Continue about 4.5 miles
and turn left onto FR 430 and park.

Two 4WD roads, 409 & 431 access the north end of
Hinman Creek Trail. These roads require 4WD and high clearance.
