Available for hiking and horseback
riding, the 9.2 mile Luna Lake Trail travels travels by several lakes
and is rated Difficult. Two access points are available for
Luna Lake Trail:

From Steamboat Springs Colorado travel 2 miles west
along US 40 to Elk River Road (airport) turnoff. Travel along Elk
River Road for about 5 miles to Mad Creek and park. Hike about 7 miles
into Swamp Park.

Travel north of Steamboat along Strawberry Park Road to
CR 60 (Buffalo Pass Road) and turn right. Continue along CR 60 for about
9 miles to Summit Lake Campground and the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness
boundary. Travel along Wyoming Trail for about 6 miles to Luna Lake
Trail.
