Routt National Forest
Available for hiking, biking, motorcycles and
horseback riding, the 5.4 mile Prospector Trail may be traveled in
conjunction with Nipple Peak Trail #1147
to for a loop. To reach Prospector Trail travel west out of
Steamboat Springs Colorado for 2 miles and turn right onto Elk River Road
(CR 129). Continue past Hahn's Peak Village 3 miles to FR 488 and turn
left. Travel 1 miles to the trailhead parking area on the left.
