Arapahoe Basin Ski Area
An immortal winter giant, the mountain stands tall with a summit
elevation of 13,050ft, blanketed in fresh snow. From the base it
invites you, calm and silent. Over a hundred trails expertly carved
through its depths and seven chairlifts raising excited patrons to the
sky, you stand in awe, captivated by its brilliance as the sun peaks
curiously through the snow-filled clouds. It is the Legendary Arapahoe
Basin.
Since 1946 Arapahoe basin has been serving up a fantastic ride for
skiers and riders from the Colorado area as well as the world. Last
season A-Basin opened on October 10th - the first ski area to open in
the nation and its earliest opening in 63 years of operation.
Receiving over 350 inches of snowfall annually, we're also typically
the last ski area to close.
Brand new in January of 2008, the Montezuma Bowl expansion
introduced 400 new acres to the legendary Arapahoe Basin. The new Zuma
chair lift gives easy access to more groomed runs, chutes, bowls and
glades. Last season's largest expansion in the nation gives you 80%
more of what you love about A-Basin. |

Monarch Mountain
Monarch Mountain is located in south central Colorado, well
south of the freeway madness that gridlocks Interstate 70 from Denver
to the Front Range resorts each weekend. Located on Highway 50 on the
Continental Divide, Monarch is very accessible. It's also one of the
oldest ski areas in Colorado, established in 1939. Monarch Mountain is
what you expect from a real Colorado ski area. Abundant natural snow
(350+ inches) and friendly people are two of our strongest attributes.
You can walk from your car right to the lifts, prices are reasonable,
and the runs flow naturally back to the base area. At Monarch you'll
lose the crowds but not your friends. |
