Biking, the 6.55 mile Boreas Pass Road (FR 10) is rated Easy and
receives heavy use. Following the old South Park & Pacific Railroad bed,
Boreas Pass Road travels past Baker's Tank to the summit of Boreas Pass,
the Continintal Divide (11,489').
To reach Boreas Pass Road from I-70, take exit 203 for
Frisco/Breckenridge and travel south along Highway 9 through Frisco toward
Breckenridge Colorado. At the southern town limit of Breckenridge, turn
left at the traffic light onto Boreas Pass Road (CR 10). Continue along
Boreas Pass Road for 3.5 miles to the parking lot and trailhead. |
