White River National Forest
Available for both hiking, mountain biking, and
4WD, the 16.2 mile Williams Peak Road travels through sage brush at
the lower elevations and aspen groves mixed with stands of lodgepole pine
at the higher elevations. Haystack Mountain is reached at the 2.5 mile
mark.
To reach Williams Peak Road from I-70, exit 205 for Silverthorne/Dillon
and travel 27 miles along Highway 9 and turn right onto Williams Peak Road
(CR 200).
