White River National Forest
Available for hiking, and mountain biking,
the 7.82 mile Peaks Trail travels downhill from the Breckenridge trailhead
toward the Frisco trailhead. A free ride on the Summit Stage from Frisco
back to Breckenridge, makes the Breckenridge to Frisco the most popular
direction of travel along the Peaks Trail. To reach the
Breckenridge trailhead of Peaks Trail from I-70 take exit 203 for
Frisco/Breckenridge and travel 10 miles south along Highway 9 to
Breckenridge Colorado Turn right onto Ski Hill Road at the traffic light
in Breckenridge. Continue to the top of Ski Hill Road, towards the
Breckenridge Ski Area Peak 8. Travel 0.6 mile past Peak 8 parking area to
the trailhead on the left. |
