American Legion State Forest
Beginning at the old bridge site along West River Road, Henry Buck Trail
has blue blazes at it travels up to the ruins of an old cheese box mill.
Climbing the Tremendous Cliffs, Henry Buck Trail continues down the north
slope.
Directions:
To reach American Legion State Forest from Winstead, travel east along Route
44 to Route 318 east to Pleasant Valley, or Route 44 west from New Hartford
Connecticut to Route 181 north to Pleasant Valley.
