Iao Valley State Monument

Located at the end of 'Iao Valley Road (Highway 32) in Maui County, about 3 miles from downtown Wailuku Hawaii, the 6.2 acre 'Iao Valley State Monument offers a viewpoint of 'Iao Needle (Kuka'emoku) which rises 1200' from the valley and was formed from erosion.

Iao Valley State Monument is surrounded by the cliffs of the dormant volcano Puu Kukui.
