Kalopa State Recreation Area

Located at an elevation of 2,000', the 100 acre Kalopa State Recreation Area features a native ohia forest and other native plants.

A short (0.7 mile) nature trail is available as are additional trails in the adjoining forest reserve. Kalopa Recreation Area also offers picnic facilities, cabin rentals, a campground, drinking water and restrooms.

Kalopa State Recreation Area is located 3 miles inland from Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 19), at the end of Kalopa Road. Five miles southeast of Honokaa.
