Beginning on the floor of Kilauea Caldera, the 3.9 mile Byron Ledge Trail ascends the crater wall to Byron Ledge and continues towards the floor of the caldera and Halema'uma'u Crater. Byron Ledge Trail connects with several trails including Halema 'uma 'u Trail, and Devastation Trail.
