Hauula Loop Trail

Available for hiking and biking, the 2.5 mile Hauula Loop
Trail is located on the windward side of the island. Crossing Waipilopilo
Gulch, Hauula Loop Trail offers panoramic views of Kaipapau Valley.
To reach Hauula Loop Trail follow Highway 83 to Hauula Beach Park and
turn toward the mountains onto Hauula Homestead Road. Continue along
Hauula Homestead Road and take the left fork onto Maakua Road. Park along
the side of Maakua Road and walk to the grassy trail leading into the
mountains.

| Camping is permitted along
Hauula Loop, however it can be difficult to find a place for a tent on the
steep slopes. Some sites are available along the ridge. |
